Anthony Fanous

Biography

Anthony is a passionate teacher who specialises in Coptic Orthodox Studies, Mathematics, and Physics. He began his teaching career at St Mary & St Mina’s in 2020 and currently serves the College as Head of Coptic Orthodox Studies and Head of Administration.

As Head of Administration, Anthony oversees the daily operations of the College, ensuring the smooth running of timetables, school events, and key organisational processes. He works closely with staff to coordinate administrative systems and support effective day-to-day functioning across the school. In addition, he plays a leading role in organising major events, including camps, excursions, and whole-school initiatives, while also overseeing the planning and scheduling of faith-based activities such as liturgies and other spiritual programs.

Anthony is deeply committed to promoting the Coptic Orthodox faith and ethos. Since joining the College, he has introduced lunchtime Tasbeha, reintroduced early morning liturgies, and co-organised the College’s first overseas service trip in 2024, along with every service trip since.

His commitment to the faith and to serving young people extends beyond the College, as he also serves the parish of St Barbara and St Noufer as the High School Coordinator. In this role, Anthony supports all high school students within the parish and works closely with Sunday School servants to nurture the faith and spiritual growth of the youth. The skills he has developed through this role are reflected in his work at the College, as he strives to make it a centre of spirituality and worship.
