Service Trip

Through service learning projects, students actively contribute to local and international communities by working on initiatives that address social, environmental, or educational challenges. These experiences help students develop empathy, social responsibility, and leadership while making a positive impact both at home and abroad.

Benefits of Service Learning:

  • Enhanced Learning: By linking classroom knowledge to real-life situations, students gain a deeper understanding of academic concepts and their relevance to society.
  • Empowerment: Service learning empowers students to make a difference in their communities, instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment in their contributions.
  • Career Readiness: Participation in service learning enhances students’ resumes, demonstrating to future employers or educational institutions their commitment to community involvement and leadership skills.

At St Mary and St Mina’s Coptic Orthodox College, service learning is an integral part of our commitment to nurturing compassionate, faith-driven young people. Through meaningful service opportunities, students actively contribute to both local and international communities, engaging in initiatives that address social, environmental, and educational needs.

A highlight of this commitment was our recent service trip to the Philippines, where students had the opportunity to serve communities in need, build meaningful connections, and experience life from a broader global perspective. This transformative experience deepened their understanding of empathy, gratitude, and the importance of serving others.

Through service learning, students develop empathy, social responsibility, and leadership skills while making a positive impact both at home and abroad.
